However your network operator will charge you for using your mobile phone to access the internet unless your tariff includes this facility free. If you are using your mobile to connect to the internet via WiFi in your home, this does not cost anything. Likewise using the program on an iPhone or any mobile with a free data bundle included in the tariff does not cost.
However if you are unsure about your tariff, we strongly advise that you contact your network operator and ask about charges first before using the service. Costs vary between operators and may be for time spent browsing or the amount of data downloaded. It is members' own responsibility to check about any charges that may apply and we cannot be held responsible for costs incurred in using the program
The main reason BootsDiets Mobile will not work on a phone is if your phone does not have 'mobile internet' enabled - in which case you need to contact your network operator to request this - please ask about any charges that apply. Or the mobile phone screen is too small (requires a minimum screen width of 160 pixels).
The new mobile application has no effect on the Java application as it uses the mobile web. The difference between the two applications is that the new program is giving you with another way to access your BootsDiets online account in real time.
Any food you enter into your food diary via your mobile phone or any changes you make on your account are updated instantly with no need to 'synchronise' like the Java program. It is entirely down to you which program you decide to use - however the latest version offers more functionality.
